About our tantra massage practice in Amsterdam
There is no studio and no waiting room. What the house keeps instead is time: unhurried sessions at whatever hour suits you, in a room you already feel settled in.
Most of the work is arriving quietly and then slowing down. A session here is not a sequence of steps fitted into a booked hour; it is an hour given a shape, a long settling at the start, a wide middle where nothing is hurried, a close allowed to take its own time. Almost every decision described below follows from protecting that shape.
All of it happens at your address. There is no studio, no reception, no room of ours for you to find and then get used to. You are already somewhere you have settled, a hotel room in the centre, an apartment on a canal, and that spares the twenty minutes a person usually spends becoming comfortable in an unfamiliar building. The therapist brings what the session needs. The rest of it is the room you are already in.
Forty-five women are on the roster, and each of them chooses the hours she is available. Because those hours differ from one woman to the next, someone is free at three in the afternoon and someone at three in the morning, so the choice at the quiet end of the night is not a thinner version of the choice at seven in the evening. The rate on her profile is the same at four in the morning as at nine in the evening.
The techniques are a settled list, tantra, nuru, sensual, body-to-body, soapy, four-hand, erotic oil, lingam, yoni, naked, couples, and beside them sit the longer bookings: the three-hour evening and the eight-hour night. A longer booking is not a different kind of work. It is the same attention measured in a different unit. An hour asks for one kind of pace; a night asks for another, and the work widens to fill it.
Amsterdam is the whole of the map. The roster covers the centre and the districts inside the ring, where forty to sixty minutes is a realistic arrival figure at any hour, and the airport hotels at Schiphol are by arrangement. The hour you choose adds nothing to the rate.
We use the word tantra plainly. It names a way of working with breath, pressure and pace, long strokes, whole-body contact, a rhythm that stays underneath you rather than moving on, and it is not a claim to anything beyond that. No lineage is asserted and nothing ceremonial is asked of you. You lie down, and someone unhurried spends an hour, or eight, with you.
Why a tantra massage practice in Amsterdam is sold by the hour
Most places that offer bodywork sell it by the treatment, and a treatment is a list: so many minutes here, so many there, a routine that can be trimmed when the room is wanted for someone else. We sell time instead, and the difference is larger than it sounds. An hour has a beginning and an end and nothing fixed in between, which leaves the therapist free to spend twenty minutes on something that would ordinarily get five, or to stay still for a while when stillness is what the moment calls for. Nothing booked after yours is allowed to lean on it.
Time is also the honest unit for a practice without premises. There is no rent on a treatment room to recover by fitting in one more client, no evening schedule pinned up behind a reception desk, and so no reason for a session to run any shorter than the one you asked for. The hourly figure covers her journey to you, the session itself and everything she carries, and nothing is added at the door.
The women who do the work
The forty-five women on the roster come from twenty-four countries between them, and every one of them is twenty-one or over. The pictures on each profile are of the woman named on it, taken with her agreement, and they come down with the profile when she leaves the roster. Their home districts are spread across the centre, thirteen in Centrum, eleven each in the Jordaan and Oud-Zuid, ten in De Pijp, and that spread does more for the arrival window than any amount of planning could, because at most hours someone is already close. Each has her own profile on the therapists page, and choosing by name is always welcome.
How the unhurried part is protected
Unhurried is an easy word to print and a harder one to keep, so a handful of small habits do the keeping. The balance is settled at the door, before anything starts, so the close is never broken by a card reader or a search for a wallet. The phone goes face down. The opening minutes are allowed to look as though very little is happening, because that is when the pace is set. And the length you booked is the length that runs, so a start that slips by a few minutes moves the finish rather than thinning the middle. For the way those minutes are usually divided, the guide to a first session walks through a typical evening.
Discretion, in practice rather than in principle
Most of what people mean by discretion comes down to nothing standing out. The therapist is dressed for the street, carries an ordinary bag and walks to the lift the way any visitor would. Nothing is left in the room afterwards, not a card, not a leaflet, not a bottle of oil. On our side, the whole arrangement happens inside the one message thread you started, and it needs only what the visit needs: an address, a time, a length and a session.
Who we are for, and who we are not
We are for people who are twenty-one or over, who want slow, attentive touch and are content to let an hour or more pass without anything being hurried toward. Travellers in hotel rooms book with us, and so do residents in their own apartments, couples as readily as people on their own. We are not a medical service and make no claim to mend anything. Nor are we the right choice for someone in a hurry: the quickest thing we offer is a sensual massage of one hour, and even that moves more slowly than most people expect.
Where to read next
The right next page depends on the question still open. If it concerns money, every figure sits in the rates table of each therapist's profile, and the cancellation policy works through the deposits. If it concerns the word itself, a short journal piece on what tantra means puts it in plain language. And if it is simply whether anyone is free tonight, the booking thread is the place to ask it.
