How Long Should a Tantra Massage Last?

Ninety minutes is the usual answer, and for a first booking it is the right one. But the better question is which length suits this particular evening, and the answer shifts with who you are, how you arrived and what comes next.

There is a short answer to how long a tantra massage should last, and it is ninety minutes. It is the length we suggest to nearly everyone booking for the first time, and it lets the format do what it was designed to do without claiming an entire evening. But a short answer serves an average person on an average night, and hardly anyone books on an average night. The length that genuinely suits you depends on a handful of things that are easy to judge once you know to look for them.

What each length is like

One hour is a real session, but a compact one. The settling at the start and the gentle close at the end take the same time whatever you book, so an hour leaves a fairly short unhurried middle. It suits someone curious about the format who wants a first taste, or an evening that truly has only an hour free in it.

Ninety minutes is where the long middle opens properly. The body has time to stop anticipating, and the sense of time begins to loosen. For most first bookings it is the length that feels complete rather than cut short.

Two hours changes the character of the session rather than merely its size. At this length people commonly lose track of where they are in it, which is one of the things the format is trying to give. It is the natural choice for a second booking, for anyone who has enjoyed good slow massage before, and for the lingam and yoni formats, which rest on a long approach.

Three hours stops being a longer massage and becomes another kind of evening altogether, with rests folded into it, a pause for water, a stretch where very little happens at all. The people who book it tend to have a clear night and a clear morning.

The overnight, eight hours for €1,250, is not eight hours of massage. It is a long session followed by sleep with someone still in the room, sometimes with a slower second session in the early morning. It suits people who would rather an evening dissolve than stop on a fixed minute.

Five things that should change your answer

How you arrived at the evening. A long flight, a day of meetings or a night of dancing all leave the body switched on, and a switched-on body takes longer to settle. If you feel wired, add half an hour to whatever you had in mind.

Whether there has been alcohol. A drink or two rules nothing out, but it blunts the early stages and makes the drift toward sleep more abrupt. Longer bookings absorb that better than short ones do.

Your experience with slow touch. Someone who has never lain still for longer than an hour may find two hours a great deal the first time. Someone who books tantra regularly in another city will probably find ninety minutes brisk.

What comes after. If a car is collecting you at six in the morning, the kindest booking is one that ends early enough to sleep properly. If nothing is planned until noon, let the session run.

Whether there are two of you. For couples, the arithmetic halves if one therapist attends to each of you in turn, so two hours becomes roughly an hour apiece. With two therapists working at once, at €360 an hour, the full length belongs to both of you together. The couples massage page describes both arrangements.

Signs you chose too short

You notice the settling arriving late, somewhere past halfway, and then the session begins closing just as you arrived in it. Or the close felt like an ending rather than a tapering. Both are common with an hour, and neither means the session went badly. They mean the next booking should be longer.

Signs you chose too long

This is rarer than people fear, but it does happen. You find yourself restless in the final stretch, or properly asleep for a large part of it without wanting to be. For most people that only occurs at three hours or more, and usually on a night that began exhausted. The remedy is to book shorter next time, or to book the overnight instead and make sleep part of the plan.

Deciding before she arrives

Length is best settled in the booking message rather than on the night, because the therapist's hours are arranged around what you ask for. If you are torn between two lengths, say so and describe the evening, and we will tell you plainly which we would pick. The complete ladder is on the prices page, and confirmation on WhatsApp takes about ten minutes whichever length you choose.
