The Plantage began as exactly what its name suggests, a stretch of pleasure gardens and nurseries laid out just beyond the eastern edge of the seventeenth-century city, where Amsterdammers came to stroll beneath the trees on summer evenings. In the 1800s the gardens gave way to an elegant residential district, planned around the zoo and the botanical garden that still anchor it, and prosperous families built the tall houses that line its avenues today. Along its northern edge, the long brick warehouses of the Entrepotdok, once a vast bonded store for goods arriving by ship, have been converted into apartments facing the water.
The quarter is small, green and surprisingly still, particularly once the museums and the zoo close for the day. Visitors who stay here, in one of the handful of hotels on the avenues or in a rented townhouse flat, often say it feels like a separate town tucked beside the centre, and that impression suits a slow session perfectly. The walk home from dinner is short and the silence arrives early.
The quarter itself
Rooms in the Plantage are generous by central standards. The townhouses have high ceilings, tall windows and wooden floors, and the hotel rooms on the main avenue are mostly in converted period buildings with thick walls and large beds. That space is a gift, allowing a therapist to move freely around the bed, but tall windows also mean cool rooms in the colder months, so raise the heating well in advance and close the curtains fully against the streetlights on the avenues. In spring the old trees along the avenues come back into leaf, and on a mild evening it is worth opening a window for a few minutes to let that green air in before the room is warmed and the curtains drawn.
The warehouse apartments along the Entrepotdok have their own character: exposed beams, deep window openings and sometimes a mezzanine bedroom reached by an open staircase. Tell us if the bed is up on a mezzanine, since it helps her plan where to set out the oil and linen. Entrances vary from a staffed hotel reception to a plain street door with a bell, and at every kind of address the therapist arrives in simple clothes with one bag, walking in from the avenue like any neighbour returning from dinner nearby.
How the session comes to you
The quiet of the quarter shapes what is booked here. Guests who stay in the Plantage are rarely looking for nightlife, and requests lean toward long sessions placed in the evening: two hours of tantra is the most common choice, closely followed by ninety minutes for anyone trying the discipline for the first time. Afternoon bookings are frequent too, between a morning in one of the nearby museums and an early dinner, when the tall windows fill the room with even grey light.
The townhouse apartments and larger hotel rooms here hold two therapists comfortably, so couples often choose to be attended to side by side. Lingam and yoni sessions, with their longer approach, fit the unhurried character of the neighbourhood well, and the eight-hour overnight appeals to guests who want an evening that simply continues into sleep. The sensual session is booked less often here than elsewhere, mostly for the night before an early departure, when a single even-paced hour is all the evening allows.

Timing, payment, the practical part
Send the address or hotel on WhatsApp and a confirmation, with the therapist's name, the arrival window and the price, comes back in about ten minutes. The Plantage sits right at the edge of the centre, and several therapists live in the neighbouring old town, so arrival within twenty to thirty minutes is standard here. There is no travel supplement of any kind.
The rates are one hour €180, ninety minutes €270, two hours €360 and three hours €540; two therapists together cost €360 an hour, and the eight-hour overnight is €1,250. None of those figures change late at night or at weekends. Settle it with the therapist when she arrives, in cash of any major currency, by card or in crypto. Every client must be twenty-one or older, and for a trip that ends near the airport, a session at a Schiphol hotel can be arranged beforehand.
