Awkward first minutes do not trouble her; she waits them out instead of talking through them, and they pass. She stopped explaining her pace to anybody at about twenty-eight, and it has been a relief all round. Three hours is where that pace makes sense, a slow arrival, a middle long enough to lose the shape of the day, and no clock consulted in any of it. She works off the breath and very little else, and will give twenty minutes to the rate of it alone. Tantra, as she uses the word, means nothing grander than declining to hurry.
