Yoni is the counterpart term, and the sessions booked under it are the ones where the agreement at the start matters most. Here is what the word includes, what is settled before anything begins, and who books it.
Yoni is Sanskrit for the female genitals, and a yoni massage is a session in which that area is included. As with its counterpart, the definition is short and the manner of working is the part worth writing about.
It is also the format where the conversation at the start carries the most weight, and where we are least willing to be vague. So this piece is mostly about that conversation.
Before anything begins, the therapist will establish what the session includes. Not in coded terms, not by implication — plainly, and briefly, so that it is done and can be left behind. What you say there defines the session. Nothing outside it occurs.
Two things follow from that. The first is that you do not have to arrive with a fully formed view. Saying that you are not sure yet is a complete answer, and it results in a session that starts narrower and stays narrower unless you say otherwise. The second is that the boundary only moves inward on its own. It can be pulled back at any moment, mid-session, without a reason, and it will be. It does not move outward without you saying so in words.
This is not a formality we recite. It is the structural difference between this and a version of the same thing that would be worth nobody's time.
The organising principle is the same one that runs through everything we do under the tantra heading: pace below expectation, contact distributed rather than concentrated, and breath rather than the clock keeping time. A yoni massage is not a different discipline. It is the same discipline with a different scope.
What that means in practice is a long approach. The specific part of the session is a late part of it, and the length of what comes first is not padding. A therapist who moves there early has misread the format.
There is no response you are supposed to produce. A great deal of what people have encountered elsewhere is arranged around producing one, and the absence of that pressure is usually the first thing clients remark on afterwards — that nothing was being waited for.
Two groups, in roughly equal numbers. Individuals booking for themselves, often after a period of reading about it and not finding a description that was neither clinical nor coy. And couples, where one partner is the recipient and the other is present — a format that works, but only when it has been discussed beforehand rather than sprung. Our couples massage page covers how a two-person session is arranged, including the version with two therapists at 360 euro an hour.
Ninety minutes is the sensible floor, at 270 euro; two hours at 360 gives the approach the room it wants. Sessions are outcall only, to your hotel room or apartment anywhere in central Amsterdam, arriving twenty to thirty minutes after a booking is confirmed, at any hour of the day or night. There is no night or weekend surcharge, and no travel charge inside the ring.
Booking runs over WhatsApp, with Telegram also available, and confirmation comes back in about ten minutes. If it is easier to describe what you want in your own words than to pick a term off a list, do that — the booking page sets out what is useful to include.
