Lingam vs yoni massage: how the two tantra sessions compare

The two words come from the same vocabulary and describe sessions built on the same slow discipline. What separates them is less than people assume, and the differences that do exist are worth knowing before you book.

Lingam vs yoni massage is a comparison people search for when they have seen both names on a tantra menu and want to understand how they relate. The short answer: they are the same discipline, applied to a man in one case and a woman in the other, with a few practical differences in pacing, length and the conversation at the start. This guide sets out lingam vs yoni massage side by side, so that a man, a woman or a couple can see which session fits and how to arrange it. The individual guides to lingam massage and yoni massage go deeper into each.

The words themselves

Both words are Sanskrit and come from the tantric tradition. Lingam refers to the male body and yoni to the female body, and in the context of massage each names a session in which that part of the body is included within a slow, whole-body tantra session rather than avoided. Neither word implies a separate technique. They are labels for scope, not for method.

The house uses the words because they are the ones people search for and because they are less clumsy than the alternatives. Nobody on the roster claims initiation into a lineage, and the words carry no promise of a spiritual effect.

What lingam and yoni massage share

Far more is shared than different. Both sessions open with breathing before touch. Both use warm oil and long, connected strokes across the whole body. Both move at a tempo well below that of an ordinary massage, and both let the therapist's reading of your breath decide when to move on. In both, the focus that gives the session its name comes late, gradually, and only inside a long full-body passage, never on its own.

Both are led entirely by the therapist. In both, the boundaries of the session are held by her and are the same for every client. In both, no response is expected of the person receiving, and nothing can be done wrong. And both can be stopped at any moment by the client, without a reason.

Lingam vs yoni massage: where they differ

Who receives the session

Lingam massage is booked for men and yoni massage for women. Every therapist on the house roster is a woman, so a yoni session is given by a woman to a woman, and a lingam session by a woman to a man.

The opening

The opening of a yoni session usually takes a larger share of the time. That is not a rule so much as a pattern the therapists have observed over many sessions: settling tends to take longer, and it is not rushed. The opening of a lingam session is also unhurried, but it often reaches its settled state a little sooner.

The conversation at the start

Both sessions begin with a short conversation. For a yoni session, that conversation is typically longer and more careful, and the therapist is especially attentive to what the client says about pace and comfort. For a lingam session, the conversation is often briefer, and men frequently use it to mention nerves more than preferences.

Suggested length

For lingam massage, ninety minutes is the length the therapists propose for a first visit, and two hours is common among returning clients. For yoni massage, the house holds to ninety minutes as a firm minimum in practice, and two hours is what most women choose. An hour can be booked for either, but it is rarely advised.

Who tends to book

Lingam sessions are booked largely by men travelling alone, on business or on holiday, and often at short notice. Yoni sessions are booked by women travelling alone or with friends, and quite often by couples in which the woman is the one receiving. Yoni bookings are more often planned a day or more ahead.

What each session costs

The house prices time, not technique, so lingam and yoni cost exactly the same for the same length. For one client with one therapist: an hour is €180, ninety minutes €270, two hours €360, three hours €540 and the eight-hour overnight €1,250. For one client with two therapists: an hour is €360, ninety minutes €540, two hours €720 and three hours €1,080. Each therapist's profile on the roster carries the full table.

A first booking from a new client is confirmed with a deposit of half, as is any booking made more than twenty-four hours ahead, any session of three hours or more, any booking with two therapists and any booking on a peak date. Deposits are paid by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto after the office accepts; never by bank transfer, PayPal or cash. The other half changes hands when the therapist arrives, whether as cash, card or crypto. Deposits are not refunded if the booking is cancelled.

Lingam and yoni for couples

Couples sometimes ask whether they can book lingam for one partner and yoni for the other in the same evening. The simplest way is a couple with two therapists, where each partner receives a session at the same time, side by side. That booking is priced on the couple with two therapists row: €1,080 for ninety minutes, €1,440 for two hours, and €2,160 for three hours. Like every booking with two therapists, it is confirmed with a deposit of half.

When only one partner receives a session and the other stays in the room, the booking is priced on the couple with one therapist row, because a second person in the room doubles the figure whichever side of the massage they are on: €540 for ninety minutes and €720 for two hours. Mention in your message that your partner will be present so the therapist can plan the opening. Whichever you choose, talk it through between yourselves first. The page on tantra for couples covers the practical side of a shared evening.

Common misunderstandings about both sessions

The first misunderstanding is that lingam and yoni massage are shortcuts: a way to skip the long full-body work and arrive quickly at the focus. They are the opposite. Both sessions are longer in practice than a general tantra booking, not shorter, and a therapist who hurried towards the focus would have misread the form entirely.

The second is that the two sessions are gendered versions of a performance, with a result expected at the end. Neither has any required outcome. A session in which nothing in particular happens is a complete session, and that is true for men and women equally.

The third is that a yoni session is somehow more delicate and a lingam session more straightforward. Both are given with the same care. What differs is the length of the opening and the tone of the first conversation, not the respect with which either is given.

The fourth, common among couples, is that one partner booking lingam and the other booking yoni means the evening will be split in two. With two therapists it is not: the sessions run side by side and end together, so the hour afterwards is shared.

Which one to book

For most people the choice is made by who is receiving the session. The more useful question is whether to book lingam or yoni at all, or to begin with a general tantra session. A general tantra session keeps its attention spread across the whole body throughout, and some people prefer to meet the discipline that way before booking a lingam or yoni session. Others know what draws them and book it directly. Both routes are ordinary.

If you are unsure, describe the evening you have in mind when you write, and the office will suggest the session and the length that fit it.

Preparing for either session

Preparation is identical. Warm the room to about twenty-three degrees, lower the lights, clear the bed, shower shortly before the therapist arrives, eat lightly and avoid more than a glass of alcohol. Put your phone out of reach. The therapist brings oils, towels and everything else.

Booking lingam or yoni massage in Amsterdam

Write on WhatsApp or Telegram with where you are staying, which session, the length and the start time. The office replies in about ten minutes with the therapist's name, the total and the deposit. Once confirmed, she arrives at any central hotel or apartment forty to sixty minutes later, at any hour. Airport hotels near Schiphol are arranged ahead. Men and women alike must be at least twenty-one to book either session.

Questions on this guide

Is there a difference in technique between lingam and yoni massage?

Very little. Both follow the same slow tantra discipline, with breathing first, long whole-body strokes and a focus that comes late and gradually. The main differences are who receives the session, how long the opening tends to take and the suggested length.

Do lingam and yoni massage cost the same?

Yes. The house prices by length, so ninety minutes for one client with one therapist is €270 and two hours €360 for either session.

Who gives yoni massage and who gives lingam massage?

Every therapist on the roster is a woman, and each of them gives both sessions.

Can a couple book lingam for one partner and yoni for the other at the same time?

Yes, as a couple with two therapists, each partner receiving a session side by side. That row is €1,080 for ninety minutes and €1,440 for two hours, and it is always confirmed with a deposit of half.

Which is better for a first tantra experience, lingam or yoni or general tantra?

None is better. Some people start with a general tantra session to meet the pace first, and others book lingam or yoni directly. Describe the evening you want and the office will suggest a fit.
